Sydney Trezza

LPC, LMHC, NCC

My name is Sydney Trezza, and I am the owner of Trezza Counseling Group, LLC. I am really looking forward to getting to know those of you that have found your way to my website and my practice. I offer remote mental health counseling to clients in Connecticut, Florida, and New York. I have an office space in Jupiter, Florida where I can see in person clients. In person clients are currently on a waitlist.

It is important that you feel a connection with your therapist before you commit to therapy. I offer free 15 minute phone consultations prior to the initial session where you can ask questions about the process, explain what it is you are looking for from therapy, and more. Please give me a call or send me an email to schedule your consultation.

My Philosophy

I work with individuals of all gender identities over the age of 16. I work hard to make sure clients feel supported, connected, and comfortable in their therapy. If you choose to reach out and begin therapy, we will be sure to talk about what it is you are looking for and to identify meaningful goals for our work together. We will then work at a pace that feels comfortable for you so you can achieve the goals you have set for yourself.

I believe every person’s story is unique, and that everyone’s experience with therapy will be unique as well. I look forward to meeting you, learning about who you are, and supporting you in achieving your therapeutic goals.

My Experience

I have my Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida. I have my Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Western Connecticut State University in Danbury, Connecticut. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Connecticut and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York. I am also a Nationally Certified Counselor, and I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing.

I have done significant work with individuals who have experienced interpersonal violence (dating violence, domestic violence, sexual harassment, assault, abuse, etc.) at various stages of their lives. I have worked primarily with college-aged individuals trying to navigate life after an assault, during and after abusive relationships, and with those trying to cope with a potentially unhealthy relationship.

I have experience working with individuals impacted by depression, anxiety, stress, challenging family dynamics, life transitions, and interpersonal conflict. I have also worked with a number of clients looking to learn more about themselves and where they came from; processing the impact this has on their present day lives and relationships.
